At this site I'm publishing three databases containing family data about
Brazilians of German ancestry.
One database (Carlos A. Heuser genealogy research) contains the
results of my research.
Two other two databases
(Christian Heinrich Bencke descendants
and Philipp and Jacob Diefenthaeler descendants)
contain the Brazilian descendants
of these immigrants and are authored and maintained by other researchers.
Notice that one specific person may appear in more than one tree.
Most of the immigrants came from Germany
in the 19th century, mainly from Hunsrück, Pommern and Hessen.
Since the immigration, they lived mainly in Rio Grande do Sul,
Brazilian's southmost state, around cities like São Leopoldo,
Santa Cruz do Sul and Venâncio Aires.
To navigate to one of these databases just use one of the links at the left or the
'Database' menu at the top.
